FUEL shock Round about

The shockwaves from the war in Iran are just starting to be felt.

It is hard to describe how little wiggle room people have for this, plus there has been constant shockwaves have been happening for the 3o years of wage stagnation and austerity.

Fuel is going to be a point of conflict, as will food and energy prices.

We need to be ready for sudden riots a bit like Yellow vests or Irish fuel protests that can happen in this country too and will be ugly and messy and contradictory but opportunity to influence to class war actions instead of race war

So as a starting point from recent comparable struggles, in France, when a fuel protest turned into protest over the working class environment as a whole. It looked for capital to pay the price - but it can go nationalistic just as easily and look for scapegoats amongst the global working class instead.

Read this EXCELLENT study of how to avoid this:https://notesfrombelow.org/article/development-and-trajectory-french-ecological-movem

In the UK we have a nationalist movement already, based around the suburbs, the petit bourgeois and their flags. This is very similar to how the Gillet Jaunes /Yellow Vest started in France.

They occupied roundabouts all over the country , and it doesn't take much of a leap to imagine the same happening here.

We may find it difficult but to the roundabouts we have to go. Maybe we can plant community gardens there, or use them as a distribution network that meets not Capital's greed but working class needs. https://www.greeneuropeanjournal.eu/green-class-struggle-workers-and-the-just-transition/
